WOW. I'm at a total loss of words right now.
So if you don't know, last night I had an exhibit in Lumiere Art-At-Night 2017! I was exhibit 34 of 37, and I spent the night in the lovely Cooperative Study Club room.
Like most things I do, I expected Lumiere to completely flop I didn't expect many people to come, or take photos, or understand what the exhibit was trying to convey.
Well, I was wrong.
As a rough estimate, I think my exhibit had anywhere from 100-1000 visitors.
It's been 12 hours and I am still completely and utterly shook.
I got so many wonderful comments from people I knew and didn't knew. I handmade 108 buttons with the logo on them, and 2 hours in they were ALL GONE. 108 people are now advertising my half-assed webcomic. Wow.
I had so many people telling me that this was just the beginning. But to me, this was the season 3 finale of Geecomics. Season 1 began in May of 2016, and ended with Capercon 2016, Season 2 began with all the Christmas Craft shows, and ended with my tragic pop-up show. Season 3 began with the financial letdown that was DCAF 2017 (though I am still proud of myself for getting into) and has ended with last night. And don't worry, Season 4 will begin very, very soon.
As I said earlier, I am still at loss of words. Thank you to everyone for coming out and supporting me, taking photos of my panels, and talking to me.
I am so, so grateful.
